Sissy was born in Gary, Indiana, to a coastal mother and a Midwest father with southern roots. Sissy had spent 31 years in the South, gaining her love for cooking from watching her mother, Nell, and her grandfather, John A., in the kitchen. Eventually holding her own spoon and teaching her own kids her techniques.
Sissy has always kept a full table from her siblings, her babies, her friends, and now she's ready to serve on a wider scale.
